Overview
How assessment scores a project on readiness axes such as TRL and BRL, and what the report behind the score tells you.
Assessment evaluates how mature a project is and tells you what has to happen for it to reach the next stage. A project is scored on one or more readiness axes.
| Axis | Meaning |
|---|---|
| TRL | Technology Readiness Level |
| BRL | Business Readiness Level |
| GRL | Gate Readiness Level |
| ORL | Organization Readiness Level |
| SRL | Social Readiness Level |
| MRL | Market Readiness Level |
TRL and BRL are evaluated by default. The rest are presets you can enable, and you can define readiness levels of your own — see Readiness Levels and Matrix.
The point is not the score. It is the report behind it: why you are at this level, and what specific activity moves you to the next one. A project that reads its level and ignores its report has got nothing out of the exercise.
