Overview
What an idea is in BIIM, the five routes into ideation, and the ideation list.
An idea is a structured business idea: a problem, a solution, a customer and a revenue model, held together so the rest of BIIM can work on it. This chapter covers the ways in, and everything you can build once you are there.
Select the compose button beside Ideation in the sidebar to start.

Which route in
There are five ways to start an ideation. Which one to use depends on what you already have.
| What you already have | Route |
|---|---|
| Keywords | From keywords — see Create Ideation |
| A patent, industry or budget constraint | Advanced options — see Create Ideation |
| A concept, proposal document or screenshot | Business model builder — see Create Ideation |
| A research chat or deep research investigation | Promote it — see Promote Research to Ideation |
| An idea board selection or a persona conversation | Promote it — see Promote Research to Ideation |
